Tobias Rangel Guillen

My name is Tobias Rangel Guillen, and I’m a Molecular Engineering PhD student interested in tailoring machine learning and AI to aid in the development of new materials for clean energy applications. In 2023, I graduated from the University of Washington with my B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Following graduation, I worked as a post-bachelor's research assistant at the Pacific Northwest National Lab (PNNL) for 2 years. At PNNL, I was part of the Battery Materials and Systems (BMS) group, where I conducted electrolyte research for the Batt500 and gained experience in laboratory automation through my involvement with the group’s Robotics and AI Lab, MIRAL. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends, going on hikes, trying new foods, or trying a new, fun activity.
